John Deere Uncommons

After our day at the zoo when went to Downtown Moline and John Deere Commons. After wandering around and looking at all the Green and yellow we stopped for a afternoon snack at a local candy shop Lagomarcinos Oh it was so good. I had a sundae called All That Jazz. Carmel,Cashews,Marshmellow and I think some icecream. Kathy had a float and Di had a Hot Fudge Sundae. MMMMM....and that ended are day out.

these two pillars are in downtown Moline. They don't have an artist listed or its name. I think its to honor the Indians that used to be in the area.

Well that says it all.

Not sure what they were going for.

The Bix 7 July 26,2008

This I believe is the 34th running of the Bix. The day dawned cool and humid. The people at First Pres where already up with coffee and donuts at 6am. And people had already set up their chairs. This year again I didn't care who sat in my front yard my sister had signed me up to help with the med tent. She figures this will counter all the time I help out at disasters. I was a catcher of falling runners. I myself only had one go down on me. But it was busy. The race drew a total of 13,711 entries. Even combined with the 3,084 kids who ran the Alcoa Jr. Bix on Friday, it still was the Bix 7’s smallest turnout since 1990.

Runners who thought ahead. The sign said something about being a patient after running the bix.
