What would Emily Post make of Facebook.

The other day the local news had a piece about netiquette. It focused mostly on Facebook. The person on there said that people tell to personal of stuff. I say that if you allowed someone to be your friend on there that you should expect to read stuff that they would tell a friend. Some people do go over board and tell about every trip to the bathroom, that may just be what kind of person they are. If you don't like it delete them and join the white glove drinking group.
There is a group on Facebook called the."Everytime I get on the computer I end up on Facebook." OH how true it is. Mousehunt and the farm are my favorites. But its fun to see people I haven't seen or heard of in years. Kids I went to school with, former co workers, and people from all over the world. I give it another year and most will move on the the next shiny thing. Twitter anyone?

Back to the Beginning

At the beginning of December my computer died. After 5 years of faithful service it just went off and wouldn't come back on. Some said it was the power source or something else that sounded expensive. I knew the time was right to get a new one. My Windows 2000 which I loved dearly was no longer supported by Microsoft.
I really didn't feel like going around and checking all the different places. So I went to Best Buy. I had to wait while the young man was helping someone else. And I guess no one else worked in computers cuz anyone I saw go past did it fast with head down. No eye contact. Finally he was finished and I asked him a couple questions about the one that I liked. He told me I was stupid because it wasn't a Mac...I let him go on for a bit then told him that if he wanted to keep his job that he would shut his little mouth and not make the customer feel like they are stupid by pushing something on them that they don't want. Yes I did go on a bit and did have him in tears but really.
Got it home and hooked it up and hated it. No not because of anything the little boy said. Vista. Microsoft's latest way to drive the American public nuts.
Everytime I'd go to open a program or do anything a pop up would ask..."do you really want to do this?"...Well duh I wouldn't have clicked it if I didn't. I found a way to stop most of those coming up.
Then the other problem. It really didn't like my dial up. I could go out and make a sandwich, balance my check book, and play a couple rounds of free cell before a page would load. Running 56K but still. Slow...and god forbid that I was chatting to someone and trying to surf the net. So after it took almost 3 hrs to do my taxes online this year I signed up for high speed internet. I'm so proud of myself when the stuff came I hooked it all up by my self and ITS WORKS!!!! Now I get no sleep and I've become addicted to You tube. You go Susan Boyle....Anyway. yes I'm in the 21st century and loving it. Now I just need to get a bigger monitor and I'll be set. I still hate Vista.

Afternoon at Middle Park

Picked up the girls from day care and then we went to the park. We saw deer off in the trees> The girls wanted a closer look so we tried to see them up close. Two ladies came down the path and when they saw the deers they screamed and off they ran.

DDDDEEEEEERRRRRRR

The Lagoon at Middle Park. I thought that I would have to pull Constance out of it. She kept running up to the edge and looking in. Savannah was fine looking from the grass side of the side walk

Girls wait til I get there.....wait..wait...oh...

The Bridge had a little bounce in it and Savannah wouldn't go across.

Constance watching all the geese and ducks in the Lagoon coming at them...They could smell the french fries on them.

Come back and feed me.....

Mac And Cheese And A Run In The Park

Had the girls for the weekend. They have grown so much. They are at the stage that they ask questions that I really don't know how to ask. But they got here and I made them dinner. Then they got wild on me (it could have been the 2LBs of M&Ms I gave them) So we went for a walk in the park near here. The sun was still up and it was in the upper 60s. Two times around the park. I don't think I'll go back to this park for my walks. Its right on the main streets and the exhaust fumes got to me,and the people walking kinda rude. So any way we walked around a could times and we went past the church at the one end. The girls see the cross on the top and ask if Aunt Sarah goes there? No she doesn't...Does she know the people that go there? ...Not that I know of...See the questions..And those are some of the easier ones.
Then nature calls for one of the girls so we leave. That night when it was bed time the girls had little fight in them and out like a light in under 15 minutes.

For breakfast the next morning we had waffles and sausage. It was Constance that ate her's all down. Savannah picked at hers. Then for the 200000 time they watched Happy Feet. We thought about going for a walk but it only got to the low 40s here. Then we played hide and seek and 20 questions...Why do they ring the bells at the church across the street from you? To wake the people there. :) Then I got the I'M HUNGRY.I guess waffles just don't stick. So for lunch it was the home made Mac and Cheese...no box or instant...I was told I'm almost as good a cooker as Mom...

Now all through this weekend every time I'd look over the girls would have put their little stuffed dog. Its the one I call Evil Dog...it attacks you when your not looking...the girls would put it down and then laugh and laugh until I would notice it. And then it would attack...cujo cujo noooooo. I was told it was a girl dog not a boy dog.Boy dogs wouldn't do that...

MMMM Mac and Cheese.

Give peace a chance

OH NO.....EVIL DOG!!!!!!!!

Get my walking shoes on
