Symphony of Light

Every year the Clinton Iowa Jaycees put on the Symphony of Lights in Eagle Point Park. I think every year they try to add something new. Click on the picture to see a bigger size if you want to see more detail. The twins thought this was so neat. Savannah kept gasping at every new sight...

Thanksgiving Shopping

This year I didn't have to do the cooking for Thanksgiving dinner. Yeah I have mixed feelings about that. I did cook two turkeys for a charity. They didn't want any seasoning on it ...just cook it. Something about homeless people and allergys.
So I got a call from the niece that there was some missing or needed more ingredients. So went on down to the local HyVee. I wasn't surprised by the amount of people there but by how fast everyone was going thru the store. I'm just wandering along looking for the stuff I was sent out to get and people are rushing past me. There was one yuppie girl with her Martha Stewart magazine crossing off the stuff she got. She almost took me out in the veggie area.
Our meal turned out great.

Dinner is served

I only make Lasagna once a year. But this year I was talked into it a second time. I went out and got me a lasagna pan and yes it did make a difference. I could load even more stuff onto it. The picture doesn't make it look that good but it was.

This is a picture of the girls sitting nice and quiet on the couch. Why are they there...did they do something to Tick me off....oh never...notice the blondes lack of shoes. they sat there for 20 minutes just quietly talking to each other and no tv on.

Autumn Time Blues

Here it is almost mid October and I haven't posted anything...Not even a picture of the twins.
It could be that I'm to busy with work to post anything...naaa. with the economy it seems like I'm spending less and less time there. Thank you Washington.
I could be my social calendar is full....who am I kidding. I haven't had a funeral in two weeks.
No I think it all comes down to me not really liking the month of October. July is number two on the months I don't like....Bad stuff seems to happen to me in this month so I just try to lay back and hope it passes without any problems.
Its not all bad. There are family and friends who have birthdays and anniversary this month. It Breast Cancer Awareness month,Halloween is this month,its almost election time....Oh there's that bad stuff again.
I may come to hate November.
