Bix 2010

Worked the Med Tent again this year. Didn't take my cel phone to take pictures because it was raining. I took my nice camera that is water proof...I got it out and went to take one picture and it said "Battery empty"....after the race and all the other excitement I took it out for one last look and got this in the parking lot of the Quad City Times. I don't know anyone in it..

Sylvan Island

Forced Mary out for a walk. We started in downtown Rock Island at the new Park. I talked her into going on to Sylvan Island. A former steel mill site that is now just an over grown park. This is some object d' art The other picture is a tower for power lines going across the island onto the Arsenal Island. The plants and vines have grown up and onto them. Spooky looking in a way.

Lindsey Park/Camp McClellan

I had the girls for the day. We went up to the East Village to play in the park. We found the place that Camp McClellan of Civil War days stood. I thought it was the buildings up on Eastern. They got bored and wanted to wander off so I had words with them so they went off to the crest of the hill to pout. They got excited when they saw the Channel Cat come in to dock. They had rode it with Grandma not that long ago.
