On The Mighty Mississippi

I really haven't been walking as much as I should. I could give all the reasons but we'll go with just lazy. Made plans with Old Lady Gimm to go walking after she got off work on Sunday. Met down at Lindsay Yacht Club and walked the path heading to Bettendorf.

So the blood sugar was running a little low so we HAD to stop and get something to eat or drink. Who knew that Village Inn was the closest thing at hand. Its peanut butter cup pie

Summer Rain

Yesterday we had one of those sudden summer down pours. Sunny and warm when suddenly two big black clouds roll in and dump 2inches in a few minutes. All the time it was raining the sun was also shining. Great rainbow. Perfect and complete.





Driving back to work counted 14 people that had stopped and where taking pictues of the rainbow. I at least waited until I was in the store parking lot.

The McFadden Family Reunion.

This is the first family reunion the McFadden's have had since 1988. It was nice to see that somethings never change. We really know how to eat...and they all like their chicken...only 13 differant ones. Down for the all time high of 47.

Scott Country Park

After a dinner of pasta,bread and whipped cream and raspberries it was time to walk off some sugar. Hadn't done Scott Co Park. When we went up we figured that it had been more then 10 years since we'd been there...Changes...just a few.

This should be easy just follow the trail...To bad we could take that with us.

It was ok on the bridge til she got to the middle and it moved a little...Off she came.

If you look way over here Constance you can see the bottom...closer...closer...

Cody Lake...what you can't see it for all the grass....Its that wet spot way in the back on the right hand side. Drained or dried up not really sure.

and we got a little lost and Constance freaked out at any bug on the trail.
