Stuff I Bet You Didn't Know Was Out There

This is along River Dr next to the Arsenal Bridge. Marion was the first American woman killed in the First World War.

Near the corner of River Dr and East 4th street there are two monuments. The one is about the first bridge that went across the Mississippi. The second is about the boat that hit the bridge and the lawsuit that followed. A young lawyer named Abraham Lincoln is one of the lawyers and the case got his name into the public forum. And the rest is history.

I don't want to walk on that natural trail. I want good old black top. Only God could walk on that trail.

Easter Walk

Went for a walk along the river front after a wonderful Easter dinner.
I was cloudy but 71 out so it wasn't that bad, until we got to the river. The wind was very strong. As we walked we could see the storm front moving in and then the warning sirens went off. It turned out to be just a normal spring shower.

River a little high

and choppy

Into each life a little rain must fall. I don't think its suppose to happen in doors.
I had not one but three places that it was leaking from the upstairs neighbours. We think last summer that when they had the high winds that we got hit and shook the house up and cracked the old pipes.

from one end of the room to the other. Don't know what is holding up the ceililng.
