The St. Patrick Society of the Quad Cities hosts this grand Irish family festival. The day long festival commences with Mass and features food, drink, memorabilia, culture display, events for children, and an excellent array of Irish entertainment including top Irish musical groups and Irish dancers. Got down to the district to a cold rainy afternoon.It was almost like being in Ireland. We stopped off at one of the bars first to check out so exhibits. This was in the patio of the bar 2nd Ave. Someone took a lot of time and effort to paint this.

Flying of the green and red white and blue. This is a day everyone is a little bit irish...or a reason to drink.
