I've gone and found my other abandoned blogs around the World Wide Web and added them here. I've also was able to put them in the order that I wrote them. Looking Back

This is me taken,my family thinks was around my first birthday. So April of 1966. It used to be in colour but its faded. This picture and many others over the years was in a frame that hung in my parents living room. Each one of us six kids had our picture up there. It got to be that as we got older and graduated or the schools stopped taking pictures that we stopped aging in the pictures and we all ended up the same age. Then little by little the grandkids took our place.

Scarlett

This is my car Scarlett...yes I name my cars,get over it.
Scarlett and I have been together for 3years. In that time we've had a starter,hearer core,brakes,and tires. But I've taken her to Baton Rogue,Denver and a couple dozen times to Chicago.
Now its minus what ever and snow up to the ...and Scarlett has started every morning and I've gotten to work.God I hate that car.

The Sky Is Falling

The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Storm warning...Which means that all the little weather men on the local stations make it sound like the world is ending unless you watch their show. Major snowstorm to hit area (they have 110inches of snow in New York..they would call this light dusting)

The winter that won't quit (it feburary its not spring for another month) continues on for the Quad Cities as we are under a Winter Storm Warning for the overnight hours and on through Tuesday as well. This will be one of the more potent storms(until the next one comes along) of the winter, not so much for the actual snowfall,(then why all the bold print) but because of the combination of snow and gusty winds as well. That will create a good deal of blowing and drifting snow especially for open areas (so don't go out). I expect to see snow totals from this to range in the 2-4 inch catagory for areas north of the Quad Cities, probably 4 to 6 inches locally and up to 8 inches south and east into west central and northcentral Illinois(look at your little map..Indiana is going to really get it). Another push of Arctic air will follow with temperatures to fall below zero (still winter) by Thursday morning.

Super Bowl XLI

Just got back from a Super Bowl party and wasn't really surprised that the Bears lost. I know I should be more supportive of the home town team. But its the Bears. Lot of show but no follow thru. And that is my comments on sports.
No ads that really stuck out in my mind. Couple of "cute" one. I'm sure that isn't what they where looking for. Half time show..Prince? Was MC Hammer busy?
The party was great as always. Big thank you out to the Harksens. The food was bad for you and lots of it. Many many chooses of wine and other adult beverages. The Merlot was good but I know I will have a headache cuz of it and the White Zin tasted like cardboard...don't ask. Good friends,gossip and wedding planning filled the night.
Births,weddings,trivia nights,and jerks name Jim.
My doc aint going to be to happy about the wine but he's a very unhappy man...I wonder why?

This is Maria,she's an over the road trucker.She drives a big 18 wheeler full of pork. She only likes to drive at night. That would explain why her eyes look like they do. She is no longer wanted in 11 states.

 

This is Leslie. She hugs trees. She looks like this because she hugged a tree that scared a bird out, that awoke the skunk and ....her sense of smell,hearing and touch are just amazing now

 

Janice....she retired years ago but she still comes in to work and no one has the heart to tell her. On pay day we take her to the near by bar and then tells her that she drank away her pay.

 

This is Princess Margaret of England. I've never met her when she was living...How I did meet her well...I can go back into England now.

Christmas List

In this electronic age I thought instead of sending a letter to Santa it would be easier to just blog it.
I will start with small items and then move onto larger ones as we go along.
First as Sally Brown ask for...Money. Any size shape or amount would be nice. My debt doesn't seem to be going away as fast as I would like.

Now onto the real stuff.
Kitchen tongs...Not thong that thought would just be wrong.
Tong..like they have in restaurants. Stainless steel so they go along with the rest of my stuff. 12in OXO or Krup brand.
A kitchen timer..now not any kitchen timer this one has to replace my clucking chicken timer.It got over wound by a great niece who shall remain nameless..the odder the better.
Tires.
DVD box sets of British shows. I've been told I have a thing about British tv but I don't really care because this was from a person that has seen Star Wars 47 times.
If you want to make this simple don't ask me what they are about you will just be confused..

Brains and Beauty

Dear Aunt Sarah,
I hope Constance turns out half a pretty as me because it doesn’t look like she’s going to make it on her brains.
The other day the loud lady from the basement was watching us
And we decided to go look out the front window. It was just the bus going by so I went to play with my toys. Well brain trust herself got stuck behind the curtain and couldn’t find her way out…The loud lady and I just watched as the curtain went up and down and heard her whining behind it.. Finally she got out but then a loud truck went by and back she went Sometimes she never learns.
Well at least I can get lost behind the curtains unlike you Jaws. You’d just eat them.
Quiet Constance I’m writing a letter to the Aunt. She’s coming and I know she will bring presents for us. Well at least me Since we have the same letter in our name…
What S like in stup….Sorry we haven’t written but the Uncle’s computer has been broke. I think Savannah did it. She is always pushing buttons that she shouldn’t .Grandma’s DVD player is sick because Savannah broke it…
I didn’t break it I just wanted to see a movie.
Hit the buttons once not 10 times.. Grandma let me help her vacuum. I like doing it. Savannah came up behind me and was pushing it to fast. I was cleaning up after the messy one..
I’m not messy I just enjoy my food.

The loud lady under the stairs moved out so we each have our own room. They did that because Constance was keeping me awake with her snoring.
I don’t snore motor mouth. You keep me awake with your snoring.
Aunt will find out what kind of sleeper you are because she is staying in the room with you when she comes.
Two great minds in the same room.
Aunt Sarah is bringing someone else to stay with her?
No Constance it will be just her and…..hey that’s not funny.
And she tells people I’m not the bright one.


We stayed with the uncle when mom went out for the night. He didn’t make us go to bed. We just stayed up as long as we wanted…Played and ran around..
Savannah the wimp was out by 9 and then she head butted me off the couch.
I was getting comfortable.
You can get comfortable without lay across the bed.
When we left the evil dog from next door almost got me. Uncle protected me. The dog should have gotten Savannah, there is more meat on her bones.
Maybe he just wanted to chew on bones.

We went up to a dinner at Aunt Diane’s. There was a lot of people our age. I didn’t like that. One blond girl kept trying to pick me up. I’m not a doll.

Pick you up Savannah. Must have been a really strong person.

They said that these are our second and third cousins. I didn’t like playing with them. They didn’t want to share and they are bigger then us. Quiet Constance.

What?

Well that’s it for now. We will see you in about a week. Presents are fine or you can take us out to get new toys or food.

Additions

My great nephew Zion has a little sister. I think she was born on August 30. Zion tells me that he would be happy to stay an only child. I figure in 20 or 30 years he will come around to like her. I think the name is (this from Aunt Madame) Chevela Diana. Why do I see the nickname Chevy in her future....I didn't start it really I didn't....
This brings the total of nieces and nephews up to ..lets see that's..5 carry the 7 add 10 equals...I've got nieces...2 or three nephews...
The other addition is a piano. It will be staying with me for the foreseeable future. It belongs to the skinny white girl. She is moving and doesn't have room for it...It looks real nice in the corner....All covered in pictures. Oh is it out of tune..My bad playing sounds even worse...Its like Old Lady Gimm singing.
